From Plain to Showstopper: A Bold Bathroom Renovation
What was once a plain, dated bathroom has been transformed into a warm, modern retreat with rich textures, striking lighting, and thoughtful design details.
Before
The original space featured standard white tiles, an outdated vanity, and a beige bathtub-shower combo. It was functional but lacked personality, warmth, and modern amenities.
After
The renovation completely reimagined the space into a curbless walk-in shower framed by sleek custom glass and anchored by a Schluter® waterproofing system, ensuring lasting protection against moisture. The walls now feature elegant vertical tiles paired with a terrazzo-inspired floor and shower base for visual depth and durability.
Overhead, a cedar ceiling brings natural warmth and a spa-like feel, while the integrated LED lighting highlights the architectural lines and creates a cozy yet dramatic atmosphere. The lighting design includes both functional task lighting and soft ambient glow, perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.
The vanity, with its ribbed wood finish and vessel sink, adds a layer of craftsmanship and modern elegance, tying the natural elements with the bold design choices.
Key Features:
Schluter® Waterproofing System – Complete shower moisture protection for long-lasting durability.
Cedar Ceiling – Adds natural texture, warmth, and a spa-like touch.
Walk-In Shower – Accessibility meets modern design.
Integrated LED Lighting – Highlights textures and sets the mood.
Ribbed Wood Vanity with Vessel Sink – Statement piece with functionality.

This project proves that even the most basic bathrooms can become luxurious, functional sanctuaries when design, craftsmanship, and premium materials come together.
